People working for animals are often trying to solve extraordinarily difficult problems with limited budgets, small teams, and an enormous personal investment in the outcome.
It can create the impression that you have to become a strategist, fundraiser, marketer, researcher, lawyer, manager, and technology expert simultaneously.
You don’t.
An entire ecosystem exists around animal advocacy to help people and organizations do their work more effectively.
If you need researchers, they are out there.
If you need designers, developers, or skilled volunteers, they are out there.
If you need legal guidance, organizational support, or specialist expertise, there may already be someone within the movement willing to help.
So, if you have an idea for animals that you believe deserves to exist, don’t automatically assume that a gap in your knowledge or resources means you cannot pursue it.
Find the support. Ask the questions. Talk to people. See what is possible.
Your mission doesn’t have to be limited by what you can do alone.
