One of the biggest challenges when starting or growing an animal advocacy project is finding people with the skills you need to help you get started.
You might be an excellent campaigner but know very little about web development. Perhaps you understand your cause deeply but need someone who can help with graphic design, research, communications, or another specialist area.
That’s why Flockwork exists: to bridge that gap.
Created by Vegan Hacktivists, Flockwork connects professional animal advocates with skilled volunteers who want to contribute their expertise to projects that benefit animals.
Organizations can submit requests for assistance, while volunteers can browse opportunities that match their skills and interests.
Importantly, Flockwork does more than function as a traditional volunteering noticeboard. Its team screens volunteers and helps match people with suitable projects, making it easier for animal advocacy organizations to find relevant support.
This can be particularly valuable for small organizations and new projects where paying several different specialists simply isn’t realistic.
You don’t necessarily need to know how to do everything yourself. You need to understand what you are trying to achieve and identify the skills that could help you get there.
